Concert Details

My first time at Sphere! What an awesome, massive space. Most of the graphics and animations were super cool, but some were pretty cheesy and didn’t add all that much? During “The One”, big lyrics flashed on the screen in various text treatments and it felt like an intense powerpoint presentation. Lol I dunno, they can’t all be winners. The best uses were projecting huge video of the guys and when they used lasers pointed at the screen to “draw” graphics. Overall, a fun and unique addition to a concert.

I haven’t listened to the Backstreet Boys in years, but this really proved how music you listen to in your formative years sticks with you forever. Tween me put all those lyrics in a safeguarded spot in my brain. It was nice to get reacquainted with them! The guys sound pretty good and A.J. is still showing he was always the star.

I was worried about motion sickness with this one as I am currently experiencing an MdDS relapse. I got a seat in section 106 which had a “limited screen view” because of the second floor balcony overhang. I thought maybe having this grounded object in my field of vision would help. I think it did and I also didn’t feel like it took away from my experience. Suprisingly, I didn’t feel too much additional dizziness (though I did still have Dramamine in my system from my flight).

Oh also, everyone in the crowd was wearing all white or light blue. Like everyone. Except me! In my black pants and black t-shirt. I clearly missed the memo 😅
